Skoda Kushaq To Make Its India Debut On This Date - Know All Details Here

Skoda Auto India Private Limited is going all guns blazing to kick-start its India 2.0 Project with a bang. The Czech car manufacturer launched a slew of new cars last year in India under its India 2.0 Project. However, the first car that has been developed specifically for the Indian market under this new project is the upcoming Skoda Kushaq and it will now soon make its public debut. The World Premiere of the New 2021 Skoda Kushaq will take place in India on March 18, 2021, and here we have all the details about it.

Skoda Kushaq - Engine and Transmission Options

The new Skoda Kushaq will be offered with two turbocharged petrol engine options. The first one will be a BS6 compliant 1.0-litre turbo petrol mill that will churn out 110 PS of power. This motor will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It will also get a BS6 compliant 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that will churn out 150 PS of maximum power. This mill will come mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DSG (direct-shift gearbox).

Skoda Kushaq - Platform and Dimensions

The new Skoda Kushaq will be based on the company's new India specific MQB-A0 IN platform. This new platform will underpin a lot of upcoming Volkswagen and Skoda cars in India. The company has not yet officially revealed its dimensions, however, its wheelbase has been revealed and it stands at 2,651 mm (that's between the Hyundai Creta and Tata Harrier).

Skoda Kushaq - Creature Comforts and Safety Features

The upcoming new Skoda Kushaq will pack in a lot of goodies. It will get all-LED headlights with LED DRLs and LED taillamps. On the inside, it will get a digital instrument cluster with a big floating-type touchscreen infotainment system that will support Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It might even get the connected car tech too. The safety features will include upto six airbags, ABS with EBD & BA, reverse parking sensors with a rear parking camera, Electronic Stability Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, etc.

Skoda Kushaq - Launch Date, Expected Price and Rivals

The new Skoda Kushaq will make its World Premiere in India on March 18, 2021. It will be launched in the second quarter of this year and is expected to be priced between Rs. 10 lakhs - Rs. 16 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi.
