Tata Motors has launched the sporty iteration of the Altroz, the Altroz Racer at Rs 9.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Altroz Racer - Sporty Altroz With Cosmetic Updates
The Altroz Racer comes with cosmetic updates to its exterior and added features on the interior. The exterior gets three new dual-tone colour options namely Atopic Orange, Pure Grey, & Avenue White with blacked-out roof, pillars, and bonnet. Additionally, all three colours get white racing stripes. On the interior, the new edition gets leatherette seats with Orange and white stripes, orange stitching, Racer badging on front seats, and orange ambient lighting. The Altroz Racer is available in three variants namely R1, R2, and R3.
On the features front, it gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 7-inch TFT digital cluster, ventilated seats, wireless charging, a voice-activated electric sunroof, 360-degree camera, 8-speakers, connected features among other features. For added convenience, it gets automatic climate control with max cool function, rear AC vents, and 12V charging ports among other convenience features. Some of these features are limited to the Racer edition only.

Tata Altroz Racer - Turbo Petrol Engine Specifications and Performance
The Altroz Racer gets a 1.2-litre three-cylinder iTurbo turbo petrol engine. This engine produces 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of peak torque. The brand has given a sole 6-speed manual transmission with this engine. The Racer edition also gets a sporty exhaust note.
Verdict
The Altroz Racer edition is priced competitively to become a fierce rival of the Hyundai i20 N Line. The brand has added some good features in it which makes it more features loaded than rival. Also, the brand has added new features in the regular editions as well which makes it a good option in the premium hatchback segment.
