Maruti has finally launched the 2022 Baleno and the prices for the same start from Rs 6.35 lakh for the base Sigma variant and stretch up to Rs 9.49 lakh for the top-spec Alpha variant. When compared with the base variant XE of the Tata Altroz then the prices of the new Baleno are higher at Rs 36,000.

The new Baleno is available in four variants - Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha. It also features first in segment features like head-up display (HUD) and a 360-view camera. The former allows the drivers to drive the car without having to take their eyes off the road by conveniently displaying information like the speed, temperature, time and more. As for the 360-view camera, the new drivers will find this feature quite handy as it is helpful in parking the car in tight spaces.
Safety equipment on the 2022 Maruti Baleno includes as many as six airbags, a high-speed alert system, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake-force distribution, electronic stability control and hill-hold assist (for AMT only), front seat belt reminder, speed-sensing door lock, reverse parking sensors and among others.

Mechanically, the new Baleno is only powered with a single 1.2L, four-cylinder, BS6 compliant DualJet motor. This engine churns out 89 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 113 Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard along with an optional AMT. The pre-lift version used to come with CVT as an option but with the AMT, the prices for automatic variants are comparatively cheaper.
