Tata Nexon EV, Tiago EV Price Cut By Up To Rs. 1.2 Lakhs: New Pricing
Tata Motors recently announced price reductions for their Tata Nexon EV and Tiago EV models. The Tiago EV now starts at an attractive price of Rs. 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom), following a reduction of Rs. 70,000. Meanwhile, the Nexon EV's price has been lowered by up to Rs. 1.2 lakh, with the base model starting at Rs. 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and the Long Range version at Rs. 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Notably, one of the significant cost factors in electric vehicles is the battery pack, which has become more affordable due to reduced battery cell prices

Speaking about this price reduction, Mr. Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, TPEM, said, "Battery costs constitute a substantial part of the overall cost of an EV. With battery cell prices having softened in the recent past and considering their potential reduction in the foreseeable future, we have chosen to proactively pass on the resulting benefits directly to customers. While EVs have grown rapidly over the last few years, our mission is to accelerate the mainstream adoption of EVs by making them more accessible nationwide. Our portfolio already offers a wide choice of body styles, range, and price points for our smart, feature-rich EVs. We believe that at these accessible prices, the best-selling Nexon.ev and Tiago.ev become an even more compelling proposition to attract a larger pool of customers.

Tata Punch EV Pricing Unchanged
Interestingly, the Punch EV hasn't seen any reduction in price. Tata Motors states that the initial prices of the newly introduced Punch EV remain unchanged as they have already considered a potential reduction in battery costs in the coming times. Tata Punch EV price starts at Rs.10.99 Lakh and top model price goes upto Rs. 15.49 Lakh.
