The National Championship Pro Stock 200 is a new format, which has been introduced to enhance competition and support independent racing teams. As such, TVS will provide race-tuned Apache GP200R motorcycles to independent teams, whose riders will participate in the championship. Additionally, the Petronas TVS Racing team will also provide technical support, service and maintenance to ensure peak performance throughout the season.
The selection process for participating teams and racers was recently held at the Madras International Circuit on May 28. Seven teams and twelve racers have been selected for this new format.

The race-tuned Apache GP200R comes with a 200cc engine, with an increase of 40% over the regular stock engine. The bike can reach a top speed in access of 155kmph, and it tips the scales at just 105kg. This motorcycle gets a modified cylinder head, a high lift camshaft, and a fine-tuned induction and exhaust system. It also features adjustable suspension on both ends, along with an aluminium sub-frame, aerodynamic bodywork, lighter alloy rims, and higher braking power.
In the 2025 Pro Stock 300cc-400cc category, Rakshith Dave and Alwin Sundar will be among the two youngsters to participate, along with ARRC rider Sarthak Chavan and KY Ahamed, who is also the first-ever Indian racer to participate in Moto3 as a wild card entrant. Jagan Kumar, the 11-time national champion bid farewell to competitive racing last year, but he continues to serve as a riding coach for the Petronas TVS Racing team.

For the 2025 season, the Pro Stock 300-400cc race bikes will benefit from several enhancements, including engine refinement based on the 2024 season learnings, planned new aerodynamic bodywork from mid-season, and modifications to the rear suspension to enhance handling and performance.
