Upcoming Toyota Glanza CNG Engine & Variant Details Leaked - Launch Soon?

It appears that Toyota Kirloskar Motor planning to introduce the CNG version of the hatchback Glanza in India. In advance of its official launch in the country, information about the upcoming Glanza CNG has been leaked. To improve the performance of the Glanza CNG, Toyota may employ Maruti's CNG technology. The engine specs and variant information for the Toyota Glanza CNG have been leaked online before of debut in the trademark document.

Toyota Glanza CNG Leaked Details

The freshly leaked document states that the Glanza CNG will include a factory-installed CNG cylinder. The vehicle will come in three different models: S, G, and V; the base E model won't have a CNG powertrain. Customers would be able to acquire all the features of the hatchback in the CNG variants because CNG will be available in the mid-to-top-spec variants.

When it comes to engine specs, the bi-fuel Glanza models will all use the same 1.2-liter petrol engine. In petrol mode, the engine would be able to generate 88.5 bhp (66 kW), and in CNG mode, 76 bhp (57 kW) of peak power. A 5-speed manual transmission will be available with the engine. Additionally, the engine would be manufactured in Maruti Suzuki's engine manufacturing facility, indicating that Maruti will supply the CNG powertrain.

The vehicle's dimensions are identical to those of the petrol versions. The CNG variant's gross weight will be 40 kg more than the ordinary petrol variants because of the CNG cylinder.

The Glanza has a host of features, including a head-up display, automatic climate control, a rake and reach-adjustable steering wheel, power-folding ORVMs, and a 9.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The hatchback's safety features also include hill hold control, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, reverse parking sensors, ABS with EBD, a high-speed alert system, six airbags, and more.

Toyota Glanza CNG Launch & Price

The Glanza CNG will to be released in the upcoming months, although the brand has not provided a specific debut date. It may cost Rs 80,000 and Rs 1 lakh more than the standard petrol models.
