Maruti Suzuki Brezza Facelift Launched At Rs 7.40 Lakh (ex-show) Gets New Turbo Petrol Engine

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has launched the much-anticipated new Brezza at a starting price of Rs 7.40 lakh (ex-showroom). As one of the brand's best-selling SUVs, the Brezza receives its biggest update yet with a refreshed design, a more premium cabin, new-age technology, enhanced safety features, and, for the first time, a factory-fitted CNG option. The launch comes at a crucial time as competition in the compact SUV segment continues to intensify. Bookings are now open, while deliveries are expected to commence soon.

Exterior Updates - Minor Cosmetic Changes

On the outside, the new Brezza retains its familiar design language but gets a few cosmetic changes to distinguish it from the outgoing model. At the front, it features an updated grille with gold embellishments on the naturally aspirated (NA) version and red embellishments on the turbo-petrol variant. Additionally, it gets a new triangular-shaped housing for the fog lamps, front parking sensors, and a slightly revised front bumper.

The side profile now features new dual-tone diamond-cut alloy wheels and a Turbo badge on the C-pillar (turbo variants only), while the overall silhouette and body lines remain unchanged. Moving to the rear, there are no major updates apart from subtle revisions to the bumper.

Interior & Features - New Additions

The overall cabin layout remains unchanged, including the seat design, steering wheel, upholstery, and dashboard design. However, Maruti has introduced a few new features to make the cabin more premium.

The Brezza now comes with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone connectivity. This infotainment unit, along with the new HVAC control panel, has been borrowed from the Victoris. Additionally, the SUV now gets ventilated front seats. Other features continue to be offered, including an electric sunroof, head-up display, 360-degree camera, 64-colour ambient lighting, wireless charger, automatic climate control, air purifier, auto-dimming IRVM, adjustable steering, and it also gets new plush leatherette seats with a dynamic fabric design, adding a more premium touch to the cabin.

On the safety front, the new Brezza has received a 5-star rating in the BNCAP crash test. The sub-4-metre SUV continues to offer six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill-hold assist, electronic stability control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Traffic Alert, and several other safety features.

Engine - New Turbo-Petrol Engine & Underbody CNG

The biggest mechanical update on the new Brezza is the introduction of the 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine. This powertrain delivers 109 PS and 170 Nm of peak torque, offering stronger performance and improved drivability. The turbo-petrol engine is available exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission, with no automatic gearbox on offer.

Another major update is the CNG variant, which now comes with an underbody-mounted CNG tank, similar to the Victoris. Thanks to this revised setup, the new Brezza CNG offers significantly more usable boot space than before, making it more practical for carrying luggage and everyday cargo without compromising on cabin convenience.
