Vinfast VF7 Spotted In Transit- Alloys, Headlamp & More

The VinFast VF7 has been spotted at Mumbai Airport, giving us a closer look at the brand's upcoming electric SUV in its India-bound guise. The test mule was finished in Jet Black, one of the official colour options listed on VinFast's global site, alongside Brahminy White, Crimson Red, and Neptune Grey. Compared to the VF7 showcased earlier at Auto Expo 2025 in a Crimson Red shade with striking 20-inch alloy wheels and low-profile Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres, the version spied in Mumbai wears a more practical setup. It gets new 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in chunkier 245/50 R19 Apollo Aspire rubber, likely a move to improve ride comfort on Indian roads, a strategy also employed by several other international OEMs.

From the spy shots, a few features stand out. A camera-based ADAS system is visible, including a wing mirror-mounted camera that hints at a 360-degree camera setup. The edge of a large floating touchscreen infotainment system is also visible, although it remains unclear whether this is the larger 15-inch unit or the 12.9-inch screen that's available in some variants globally. The international model of the VinFast VF7 features a tech-laden, futuristic cabin highlighted by a large 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a heads-up display for key driving data, panoramic sunroof, wireless charger and spacious, upscale interiors. On the safety front, the VF7 comes equipped with 8 airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera, and advanced ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and blind spot detection, positioning it as a well-rounded, feature-rich electric SUV.

Range And Specs
The VinFast VF7 is offered in two trims where the Eco variant features a single electric motor producing 204 PS and 310 Nm of torque, prioritizing efficiency with an estimated range of up to 450 km. For those seeking more performance, the Plus trim packs a dual-motor setup delivering 354 PS and 500 Nm of torque, with a slightly lower range of around 431 km. Both variants are powered by a 75.3 kWh battery pack.

When it launches around October this year, the VinFast VF7 is expected to be priced between Rs. 25 lakh and Rs. 30 lakh (ex-showroom), thanks to local assembly at the brand's new facility in Tamil Nadu. This pricing positions it squarely against the BYD Atto 3, which currently retails from Rs. 24.99 lakh to Rs. 33.99 lakh. Like the Atto 3, the VF7 will compete in the premium electric SUV space, offering comparable range, tech, and features.
