Volkswagen Virtus

This mid-size sedan has became a cult in such a short span, as the value it offers is unmatched, starting at Rs 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). launched in 2022, this sedan captured the hearts of people who are born-to-drive. With its driving dynamics and power-delivery, it became a house-hold name in just 3 years. That's the reason why, in its segment, Virtus is the best selling car.
However, it still lacks features, that make it a complete product and what today's buyers need. Such as there is no ADAS, dual-zone AC, rear-disc brakes, 360-parking camera, and front parkng sensors. That said, we know what it will bring with this facelift, as whatever, Skoda has introduced with all new Kushaq, will come here. Such as a new 8-speed gearbox with 1.0L TSI engine, new digital driver's display, connected LED head and tail-lights, and a rear-massaging seats.

The video shows the Virtus with its front and rear profiles fully covered, where the new changes are expected. These include new LED headlights with connected DRLs, along with tail lamps featuring a similar treatment. Moreover, the rear wheels can be seen with disc brakes and red brake calipers - a good step by Volkswagen, as it should improve braking performance. However, this setup is likely to be available only with the 1.5L TSI EVO powertrain. Apart from this, there may not be many other changes, but we cant be 100? sure about what Volkswagen has planned.

Verdict
The Virtus facelift looks like a subtle yet meaningful update rather than a complete overhaul, focusing on design tweaks and functional upgrades. If Volkswagen manages to retain its strong driving dynamics while adding these enhancements, it will further solidify its appeal in the premium sedan segment. The addition of rear disc brakes on the 1.5L variant is a welcome move for enthusiasts. Overall, it should help the Virtus stay competitive against newer rivals while keeping its core strengths intact.
