Skoda has finally launched the Slavia in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 10.69 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It competes with rivals like fifth-gen Honda City, Hyundai Verna and Maruti Ciaz. Skoda Slavia is available with two petrol motors - 1.0L TSI and 1.5L TSI and in this article, we compare the mileage of this recently launched sedan with its rivals. Let's have a look!

As can be seen, Skoda Slavia is the most efficient sedan after the Maruti Ciaz. The 1.0L petrol motor of the Slavia produces 114 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 178 Nm. It is paired to a 6-speed stick shift as well with an optional 6-speed automatic gearbox. The ARAI certified mileage of this engine sticks to 19.47 kmpl for the manual and 18.07 kmpl for the 6-speed auto.
The most powerful 1.5L TSI motor generates 148 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 250 Nm. This motor also gets a 6-speed manual transmission as standard whereas a 7-speed DSG for the auto. The ARAI certified mileage of the 1.5L TSI sticks to 18.72 kmpl for the manual and 18.41 kmpl for the auto.

Skoda Slavia is made available in three variants - Active, Ambition and Style. The latter is the top of the line variant that is offered with an optional electric sunroof too. Feature-wise, Slavia is equipped with ventilated seats at the front, 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, cruise control, automatic climate control, rear AC vents and a class leading boot space of 521 litres.
Safety equipment on the Slavia include ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, six airbags, electronic differential system, hill hold assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a rearview camera and more.
