As can be seen, it is the Swift CNG that is longer, wider and gets a bigger wheelbase than the Tiago i-CNG. Both the hatchbacks get a 1.2L petrol motor that gets CNG as an alternate fuel. In CNG mode, the Swift belts out 76 bhp of power with a peak torque of 98.5 Nm while the Tiago i-CNG produces maximum power and torque of 72 bhp and 95 Nm, respectively.
When compared with the Tiago i-CNG, the Swift CNG is powerful in the lot. Also, the ARAI-certified mileage too of the Swift CNG sticks to 30.90 km/kg compared to 26.4 km/kg of the Tiago i-CNG.
2022 Maruti Swift vs Tata Tiago i-CNG - Price and Warranty
Maruti offers the Swift CNG in two variants - VXI and ZXI. The former is priced at Rs 7.77 lakh while the latter sticks to 8.45 lakh. Unlike the Swift CNG that is offered in two trims only, Tata offers the Tiago i-CNG in all variants.
The variants are, XE, XM, XT, XZ Plus and XZ Plus Dual-Tone. The prices for the same range from Rs 6.30 lakh to Rs 7.82 lakh. All the prices mentioned here stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.
For the warranty, Maruti offers the Swift CNG with 2 years or 40,000 km, whichever is at the earliest while the Tiago i-CNG comes with 2 years or 75,000 km. Considering the price and the safety perspective, it is the Tiago i-CNG that makes sense but if you're looking for good mileage then you should pick the Swift CNG.
