2023 Citroen eC3 Electric Interiors Spied - Debut At Auto Expo'23

The French car company Citroen is soon going to start its electric journey in India. Yes, the 2023 Citroen eC3 electric car will be launched soon. 2023 Citroen eC3 Electric Details

Speaking of the interiors, the majority of the layout looks familiar to its ICE sibling model. However, the gear shift lever has been replaced by the simple buttons of the electric drivetrain. Meanwhile, the rest of the dashboard design and the steering wheel looks unchanged. One interesting thing to note is the manual key fob. Meanwhile, the current EVs in India provide the push button switch like the Tata Tiago EV.

Maybe Citroen is doing this for cost-cutting. Additionally, the overall cabin layout is the same and the colour contrast is also all-black. There is also a touchscreen infotainment present on the test car. We reported earlier that the eC3 is based on the same platform as that of its ICE cousin. However, this CMP architecture will witness a few tweaks to it. This will be done to adjust with the electric drivetrain that undergoes on it.

Meanwhile, Citroen has not revealed any details about the drivetrain or the battery range on the eC3. But, we suspect that it will come with a 30kWh or more battery pack. Its drivetrain shall be tuned to complete 300-350 km per charge as anticipated. Meanwhile, Citroen is expected to offer it in multiple variants like the ICE variants. Additionally, a long list of official accessories will also be offered on this electric car as well.

Verdict

The eC3 will begin the electric journey for Citroen in India. The EV market in India has exploded in a short time. Cars like Tata Nexon EV Max & MG ZS EV have led to a change of mind for new car customers. Hence, the eC3 makes even more sense now. However, due to the high production costs, the expected price of the car is Rs 10-12 lakh. Citroen is going to debut it at the 2023 Indian Auto Expo but it will certainly get launched in the forthcoming days.
