2024 Tata Safari facelift has been spied on test with a redesigned exterior. The refreshed model gets design cues from the Harrier EV displayed at Expo'23.

Tata Motors is playing the hard way with its SUVs in India. The company recently introduced its Harrier with ADAS tech. Additionally, Safari & Nexon are also aligned to get ADAS soon. However, the 2024 Tata Safari facelift has been spied with additional changes. The updated model is likely to get launched early next year. Read more details about it below.

2024 Tata Safari Facelift Details
As seen in the spy shots, the upcoming SUV facelift will get major changes. The primary focus of the facelift will be to revamp the design. Hence, the front end looks similar to the Harrier EV showcased at Expo'23. This means that Tata will carry forward the design elements from the EV concept model. Harrier EV got positive feedback from the audience at the Expo'23. All thanks to the muscular design with straight lines and upright-set bonnet. Additionally, the front grille, headlights, & the DRLs have been redesigned.
Meanwhile, the side profile looks more or less the same as the current model. However, the alloy wheels look similar to the Harrier EV. At the rear, the LED taillights of the current model have been used unchanged. But, the possibility is that these might also get redesigned because this is just a test car. Hence, the final design might also get more changes to the exteriors. In addition to it, the interiors are also expected to undergo some positive changes. Mind you, Tata recently introduced the ADAS version of the Safari with modified interiors. However, the facelift might get a new dashboard design & new steering wheel design as well.
Mechanically, Tata will keep offering it with the current powertrain options. But, there are rumors that Tata is developing a petrol motor for Harrier & Safari duo. Hence, this turbo-petrol engine might mark its debut with the launch of the facelifted model. In fact, a 1.5-lt turbo-petrol is being developed just for the SUV duo. This will eliminate the absence of petrol options on both of the SUVs.
Verdict
Tata Safari has been facing strong competition from its rivals. Mahindra XUV700 & MG Hector have proven to be strong competitors. Both of these cars come with petrol & diesel engine options. Hence, the updated Safari will ensure concrete its brand value even more than before. We're expecting the updated model to debut by early 2024. The expected prices of the new model will be few thousand more than the current model.
