Drawing parallels with the Hyundai Creta Electric, the upcoming Kia Seltos EV is anticipated to offer similar battery and motor specifications, potentially including 42 kWh or 51.4 kWh battery packs, powering a 169 bhp FWD electric motor capable of a 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.9 seconds and a range of up to 473 km. In addition to retaining its current ICE engine options, the 2026 Kia Seltos is also rumored to introduce a hybrid powertrain, aiming to compete directly with hybrid offerings from Maruti Suzuki and Toyota.
Verdict
The Seltos EV is a pretty good probability given the ICE to EV transition that we have seen with the Creta, but it might still be some time away from reality. The updated SUV is coming by late 2025 or ealry next year, will try to keep the dominating position in its space.
