JSW-MG Motor India Ltd. appears to be preparing to launch another electric vehicle (EV) in the Indian market. The company trademarked the Wuling Binguo EV last year, and it has now been spotted in a parking lot in Mumbai. Wuling Binguo EV Spotted
The recently spotted Wuling Binguo Plus was seen without any camouflage and prominently displayed the Wuling logo. The brand trademarked this small hatchback for the Indian market last year. The Wuling Binguo features a curvaceous design language. The front profile consists of a diamond-shaped parametric grille and a round, X-shaped LED headlamp setup. On the sides, it is equipped with 15-inch steel wheels that have wheel covers, along with a sloping, coupe-like roofline and fender-mounted charging port. Moving to the rear, it features wraparound LED taillamps.
The Binguo & Binguo Plus is already on sale in several international markets with two battery pack options: 31.9 kWh and 37.9 kWh. The smaller one gives a claimed range of 333 km, and the bigger battery pack version gives a range of 410 km. Both the battery pack variants are paired with a 50 kW drive motor. Also, the recently spotted version seems like the Binguo Plus that boasts a 50 kWh battery pack that gives a claimed range of 501 km on a single charge.
Recent sightings indicate that the brand may be planning to launch a small electric hatchback in India. MG has already introduced the Comet and Windsor as new products under the MG brand for the Indian market; internationally, these models are sold under the Wuling brand. The Binguo measures under 4 meters in length, and it could be positioned above the Comet EV in India. We can expect that the brand may give a new name to the Binguo for India.

Verdict
JSW-MG Motor India is planning to give a big push to the Indian electric vehicle market. The recent spotting of the Wuling Binguo suggests that it could be a potential addition for the Indian market. However, the brand has not revealed any plans to launch other Wuling-branded vehicles in India. That said, Wuling vehicles sold under the MG name, such as the MG Windsor and MG Comet, are already performing well in the country.
