Force Motors has launched the much-awaited Gurkha 5-Door SUV at Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom) and the 3-Door Gurkha at Rs 16.75 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand will start the deliveries of the Gurkha from mid-May and the cars will be available on dealerships in the coming days. Force Gurkha 5-Door & 3-Door Launched
The design of the Gurkha remains similar to the previous version, it comes with a boxy design and a big stance. The front profile gets a two-slat grille with Gurkha badging and a circular LED headlamp assembly with LED DRLs. The side profile gets 18-inch alloy wheels, a foot step, a factory-fitted snorkel for better water wading capacity, and blacked-out door handles. The rear profile gets a straight tailgate design with a spare wheel placed on it.
On the interior, both versions get a similar set of features which includes a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster, an electronic shift-on-fly 4WD knob, and fully locking mechanical differential on both ends among other features.
The seating layout of the 3-door Gurkha version consists of two rows with 4 seats, the rear row also gets captain seats in this version. The 5-door Gurkha version comes with a 7-seater layout in which a bench seat is available in the middle tow and two captain chairs are available in the third row.

Force Gurkha 5-Door & 3-Door Engine
Both versions are powered by a 2.6-litre diesel engine which produces 140 PS of power and 320 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission only, there is no option of an automatic transmission.
Verdict
The Force Gurkha 5-Door was one of the most anticipated launch of the year. With a price tag of Rs 18 lakh for the 5-door version the brand has hit the right box in terms of pricing. The 3-door version is priced at Rs 16.75 lakh it is costly than the Mahindra Thar AX version with 4WD. The 5-door version currently don't have any direct competitor but Mahindra is all set to launch its competitor soon.
