Last year, Honda Cars India launched its mid-size SUV the Elevate in India. The brand has launched Elevate with a single 1.5-litre NA petrol engine. Now, some dealers are offering Elevate with retrofitted CNG kits as well. Last week, the Honda Amaze CNG surfaced online with a retrofitted kit, and now the Honda Elevate with CNG has been seen. Honda Elevate CNG
The new Elevate CNG is available with a retrofitted CNG kit which is fitted at dealer level. The CNG kit is available for every variant of the SUV and the customers need to pay Rs 75,000 extra to get the kit fitted in their car. The demand of CNG vehicles has increased now, and OEMs like Tata, Maruti Suzuki, and Hyundai are offering factory-fitted CNG options. The dealers are fitting the car with Lovato CNG kits and the retrofitted Honda Elevate CNG will help the Honda delaers to get new customers.
The customers will be able to retain their brand warranty if they opt for the dealer fitted Elevate CNG. The dealer level fitment will not void the warranty of the vehicle. As seen in the pictures, the CNG gauge is fitted below the steering column.
The Honda Elevate comes with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine petrol engine with 119 bhp of power and 145 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated with a 6-spee manual and a CVT gearbox. On the features front, the Elevate comes equipped with a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment, an electric sunroof, wireless charging, Level 2 ADAS, blind view monitoring, auto-dimming IRVM, among other features.

Verdict
With the increasing competition and alternate fuel options in the mid-size SUV segment, Honda Elevate is the only SUV to come with a single NA petrol engine. The introduction of retrofitted CNG kit in the Elevate will help the brand to get more customers. The Honda Elevate competes with the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, KIA Seltos and other mid-size SUVs.
