The Honda Elevate is equipped with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. This powertrain produces 121PS of peak power and 145Nm of peak torque. You can choose between a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission. Despite being a naturally aspirated engine, it comes with no option of a smart hybrid or a strong hybrid option like the Honda City. Its claimed fuel economy figures are as below:

Maruti Grand Vitara

One of the best-selling products in the mid-size SUV segment is the Maruti Grand Vitara. The smart SUV from Maruti has been jointly developed with Toyota. It is available with two petrol & a CNG engine option. The 1.5-lt petrol powertrain is available with a smart hybrid as well as a strong hybrid powertrain option. The CNG version develops less power when compared to the abovesaid variants but offers decent fuel efficiency in the CNG powertrain. Its claimed fuel economy figures are given below:

The updated Kia Seltos comes with a 1.5-liter petrol engine that offers two power options: 113.42 bhp. Additionally, there's a new 160PS/256Nm 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual, CVT, 6-speed AT torque converter, and 7-speed DCT. Here are the claimed fuel efficiency figures:

Verdict

Maruti Grand Vitara has the best fuel efficiency: Mild Hybrid Petrol MT at 21.11 kmpl, AT at 20.58 kmpl, and Strong Hybrid Petrol AT at 27.90 kmpl. Honda Elevate and Hyundai Creta are decent but slightly less fuel-efficient. Kia Seltos is competitive with its 1.5L Diesel iMT at 20.7 kmpl, but not as efficient as Grand Vitara's hybrids. For the best fuel efficiency, go for the Maruti Grand Vitara, particularly its Mild Hybrid and Strong Hybrid variants.
