Maruti Suzuki Swift, Ertiga Get New SmartPlay Studio Infotainment System Without Price Hike

India's Largest Car Manufacturer - Maruti Suzuki always tries to update their cars sporadically to make them look fresh as well as to offer the latest features available in the market. While the majority of the cars in the Maruti Suzuki line-up are already being offered with the company's new SmartPlay Studio Infotainment System, the Swift and the Ertiga were still stuck to the older touchscreen units. Maruti Suzuki has finally addressed this infirmity and the carmaker has silently updated the Swift and Ertiga with the new SmartPlay Studio Infotainment System.

Maruti Suzuki's New SmartPlay Studio Infotainment is now available in an array of Maruti Suzuki cars and this in-vehicle media consumption system comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display with a new interface and more features. It is compatible with both Android Auto as well as Apple CarPlay and includes features like a Navigation System with Live Traffic Update, Voice Command, etc. It also tells you news updates, weather report and restaurant recommendations via AHA Radio. It also displays fuel economy statistics including driving range, average fuel consumption, etc.
Suzuki's new infotainment system offers enhanced smartphone integration through a dedicated SmartPlay Studio app that can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store. Maruti Suzuki believes that this feature inclusion can be a very handy feature as the owners can utilise this functionality to access offline navigation, AHA music streaming and get news, sports and weather updates. The SmartPlay Studio also allows the users to use the phone as a remote control for the infotainment system.

Apart from the inclusion of this new infotainment device, no other changes have been made to the car and they are completely same with identical pricing as before. The current Maruti Swift is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 82 bhp and 113 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT (automated manual transmission).
