Maruti WagnoR Clocks 10 Lakh In Sales Unit

Maruti WagonR has achieved noteworthy sales milestones for the brand recently, surpassing 10 lakh units since its latest iteration debuted on January 23, 2019. Over the past six years, this star hatchback has solidified its position as a spacious, practical, and affordable choice. In FY2023 alone, it achieved its highest annual sales of 2,12,340 units. However, looking at its lifetime sale starting from 1999 onwards, it has surpassed a whopping 32.1 lakh units mark in a very commendable feat which only a few have achieved.

The current generation of Maruti Suzuki WagonR offers a diverse range of engine choices. These include a 1.0-litre and a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, available with both 5-speed manual and automatic transmissions. Additionally, there is a 1.0-litre petrol+CNG engine variant paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Equipped with a company-fitted CNG kit, this variant achieves impressive fuel efficiency, delivering 34.05 km/kg in CNG mode.

The 1.2-litre engine delivers robust performance, producing 88 bhp of power and 113 Nm of peak torque. Meanwhile, the 1.0-litre engine offers a balanced performance with 66 bhp of power and 89 Nm of torque. Both engine options are available with a choice of either a 5-speed manual transmission or an automatic transmission. The 1.0-litre CNG variant provides 52 bhp of power and 82 Nm of torque, exclusively paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
