We have shown you several modifications, sometimes it's the custom bodywork, interiors or the performance upgrade. This right here is the modified Volkswagen Polo which has been tuned up to make 200+ bhp on tap and it just looks like your stock version of the Polo which you drive daily.

This modified Volkswagen Polo is tuned out such that it is faster than the stock BMW 320d. What makes it a special one is that it uses a 1.6-litre diesel engine under its hood and does not carry any ricer-spec mods. It looks similar to the stock model so cops won't give you any hassle unless you smoke them right in front on their faces. Note - Don't do that!
Coming to the list of mods then this one carries a Stage3 Wolf Moto Performance ECU tune. This helps in churning out a whopping 200+ bhp and 375 Nm of peak torque. The BMW 320d makes 188 bhp and 400Nm Nm of peak torque. You can go 0-100 km/h in just 6.07 seconds with weight reduction.
Furthermore, it gets a Garrett turbo and intercooler upgrade and BMW intake system. This Polo gets an Engineering Exponent Exhaust system and EE dampers with Cobra Lowering Springs. The front sees a 40mm drop while the rear gets a 35mm.
With all these modifications, this Polo shows improved steering feedback and the car responds to sharper turns effectively. With the lowering springs, the hatch gets reduced body roll thus faster direction changes. Also, the rear sprints are dual-rate progressive ones which enhance the comfort for the rear passengers.

To give you a glimpse then the first-gen Polo used to come with a 1.6L diesel engine only. It was only after a while that the engine got downsized to a 1.5L unit. In its stock form, the 1.6L unit makes 104 bhp with 250 Nm of peak torque. The facelifted Polo came with 1.5L engine and made 110 bhp with the same amount of torque figures. The engine gets mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
Jumping to 2020, Volkswagen has not only discontinued the diesel engines but the 1.2L litre petrol ones too. Now, they offer a 1.0L, three-cylinder petrol engine which comes in MPI and TSI form. The latter is also mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox and replaces the older 1.2L GT TSI, four-cylinder engine.
