Nissan Magnite CNG

Nissan India is providing the CNG retrofitment kit by government-approved third-party vendor Motozen, at Rs 74,999. This CNG tank is connected to the 1.0L naturally aspirated 3-cylinder petrol engine - mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The official power figures with CNG aren't there, but for sure the horsepower and torque will be marginally reduced. Moreover, there isn't any figure for its fuel efficiency. Our guess is, it would be somewhere around 24 to 25 kmpl.

In the first phase, the CNG retrofitment option was launched in 7 states, namely Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Kerala, and Karnataka. With the Phase 2 launch, states like Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Tamil Nadu are covered. In total, Magnite CNG is ready to be purchased in 13 states, and it will expand with the launch of Phase Three.

The retro fitment kit is developed, manufactured, and quality-assured by Motozen, a government-approved third-party vendor. Installation will take place at government-authorised fitment centres using a homologated kit compliant with local regulations and safety standards. Motozen provides a 3-year/1 lakh km warranty on kit components.
