Renault India Rolls Out 50,000th Kiger From Chennai Plant; Gets A New Stealth Black Colour
French carmaker, Renault has rolled out 50,000th Kiger from its production plant in Chennai and it now gets a new stealth black exterior paint scheme. Launched in February 2021, Kiger is one of the most affordable compact SUVs in the Indian market that is priced from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 10.62 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
The recently launched Stealth black colour of the Renault Kiger is limited to RXT(O) and RXZ trim only. The Kiger is now available in seven monotone shades and four dual-tone colours.
Powering the Kiger are two petrol engine options - 1.0L non-turbo petrol and 1.0L turbocharged petrol. The former generates as much as 71 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 96 Nm. It gets mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard and an AMT as an option.
The more powerful, 1.0L turbo petrol motor belts out 99 bhp of power with a peak torque of 160 Nm. This motor gets a five-speed stick shift as standard and CVT as an option. In the CVT, the peak torque is limited to 152 Nm only. The ARAI certified mileage of 1.0L non-turbo sticks to 19.1 kmpl for both MT and AMT while the 1.0L turbocharged petrol motor delivers 20.5 kmpl for the manual and 18.2 kmpl with the CVT.
Feature-wise, the Kiger is equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, cruise control, wireless charger, push button start/stop, power-folding ORVMs, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights and more.
