Sneak Peek: XUV300 Facelift Spotted, Teasing Major Upgrades in Store

Even with a lot going on recently for Mahindra, they are gearing up for yet another update and this time it is the Mahindra XUV300. While the demand for XUV700 and the Mahindra Scorpio- N seems to have no downward slope, XUV300 also reels in a big number for the carmaker in compact SUV space. Therefore, to keep the ball rolling, the facelift test mule hints at some major upgrades to the XUV300 this time.

Mahindra XUV300 Facelift: Things Are About To Change

The facelift this time around isn't just with the fit-out elements, but it will be having fresh cuts and creases to have a more sporty and rugged footprint. The taillight section has refreshed outlines that hint at a departure from the current design language.

At the front, the design language is now being standardized for the typical new Mahindra design language. The headlamp unit resembles something like the ones present on the Mahindra XUV700. A revised bonnet, fresh headlamps with DRLs, the front bumper, and a new grille design are a few changes that will mark a significant upgrade.

Talking about the alloys, they will be getting a newer treatment as well, along with a different tailgate and rear bumper. Meanwhile, the interiors are still away from camera lenses, expect a revamped space altogether with an updated infotainment unit and an enhanced features list. This is a much-needed update as the cabin is starting to feel a little aged when compared to its contemporaries.

To Continue With The Same Engine

Under the hood, the XUV300 facelift is most likely to continue with the same engine. The current engine options include 1.2-liter turbo petrol and 1.5-liter diesel. The Mahindra XUV400, at a later stage, will also receive these cosmetic changes to enter its facelifted module.

Expected Launch And Rivals

Mahindra XUV300 continues its testing but it will not be making its way in 2023. As confirmed by the carmaker a few days back, there are no new launches planned for 2023. This could have been due to the huge backlog of bookings of XUV700 and Mahindra Scorpio N. It continues to lock horns with the likes of Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and Kia Sonet.

VERDICT- The facelift this time will mark a sizable visual disconnect from the current SUV.
