Brands are betting big on electric vehicles, so how can India's own manufacturer be left out? The Tata Tigor EV is one of India's most affordable electric vehicles, and it makes our list of nominees for the "Special Mention" award for making electric vehicles more accessible to Indian car customers. The Tigor EV has a respectable driving range, stylish appearance, a pleasant cabin, and a high GNCAP crash- test score, in addition to significantly undercutting the Nexon EV on price. For those searching for a well-built, low-cost-of-operation, and easy-to-drive city automobile, India's most economical electric car is a solid choice. The most important modification in the Tigor EV is the adoption of Ziptron technology. A larger 26kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery with an ARAI-certified range of 306km is available on a single charge. This car is a huge improvement over the previous generation, and range anxiety sufferers will appreciate it.
