You Can Now Book The Tata Altroz i-CNG For Rs 21,000 : Details

India' safest CNG premium hatchback will soon go on sale in the form of the 2023 Tata Altroz i-CNG. First showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo, this CNG version of the Altroz comes across as a sensible and practical option in the segment. The distinguising factor here is the unique design of the two CNG cylinders - this helps liberate ample amount of boot space, thus erasing the biggest shortcoming of CNG cars.

Additionally, the Altroz has a higher GNCAP crash test rating as compared to the Baleno CNG and the Glanza CNG. Bookings are open at Rs 21,000 and prices will be announced soon. The Altroz i-CNG will be sold in four trims of base XE, XM+, XZ and XZ+. Colour options for the Altroz CNG will include Opera Blue, Downtown Red, Arcade Grey and Avenue White. Tata claims that higher versions will offer features like leatherette seats, iRA connected car technology, cruise control, and automatic headlamps amongst others.

The Tata Altroz i-CNG will get the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated (non CNG) engine as the Tigor and Tiago CNG but with minor tweaks. This motor puts out 73 PS of power and 105 Nm of torque in CNG mode. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
