Tata Curvv Hits 200kmph

Tata Motors has left all of us in awe with the video shared on its official YouTube channel. The Curvv was seen effortlessly crossing the 200kmph mark on the test track. While the Curvv features a sharp and futuristic design, this performance feat suggests that Tata was aiming for an impact beyond the aesthetics.

What's Under The Hood?

The Tata Curvv is available with three engine options: the older 1.2L turbo-petrol, the new 1.2L Hyperion turbo-petrol, and a 1.5L turbo-diesel unit. The petrol unit is paired to a 7-speed DCT or a 6-speed manual transmission, whereas the diesel unit also gets the same transmission options.

When it comes to power output, the petrol engine churns out 120 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the diesel engine belts out 118 PS and 260 Nm of torque, while the Hyperion petrol engine produces 124 PS of power and 225 Nm of torque. But Tata isn't stopping there; they also have the electric version of the Curvv.

What's Inside?

Moving inside, the Tata Curvv offers a plethora of features, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, a two-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo, a wireless charger, a touch-based HVAC panel, and a panoramic sunroof with ambient lighting. Additionally, it gets features such as auto-dimming IRVM, JBL-sourced nine-speakers, ventilated front seats, a powered driver seat, a 360-degree surround camera with blind spot monitor, and a level 2 ADAS suite.

How Much?

The Tata Curvv comes at an introductory price of Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 19.20 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top trim. The ICE version rivals the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and the MG Astor.
