Being the choice of a select group of people, the sales figures are limited and the Camry hasn't seen many updates over the years. However, the luxury sedan is getting dearer. Toyota has hiked the price of the Camry by Rs. 1.75 lakh. Earlier, the Camry was offered with a price tag of Rs. 41.70 lakh, but now it would be available at Rs. 43.45 lakh (ex-showroom price). It is noteworthy that no changes have been observed in the Toyota Camry Hybrid in 2022 and it is offered with the same powertrain and features.
The Camry Hybrid is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine which churns out 178 PS of peak power and 221 N-m of torque further coupled with an electric motor increasing the power output to 218 PS mated to an e-CVT transmission developed especially for Synergy Hybrid technology vehicles. On the safety front, the Camry is secured with nine airbags, Antilock Braking System with Electronic Brake Distribution, Reverse Parking Sensors, automatic park assist, vehicle stability control, traction control, hill start assist and tyre pressure monitoring system.
On the inside, the Camry is equipped with a massive 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity features like Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a premium 9 speaker JBL speaker system setup with a subwoofer, a ten-way power-adjustable driver seat, wireless phone charger, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a heads up display, three-zone automatic climate control, all leather seats, electric sunroof and many other features. The stunning Toyota Camry in India is offered in seven different paint schemes namely Burning Black, Silver Metallic, Red Mica, Metal Steam Metallic, Graphite Metallic, Platinum Pearl White and Attitude Black.
