Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the Leader Edition of its popular SUV, the Fortuner at a starting price of Rs 34.79 Lakh (ex-showroom). This edition enhances road presence with a redesigned grille, spoilers, dual-tone roof, and gloss-black accents. It comes only with the 2.8L diesel engine, paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed AT, and is available exclusively in 4X2. Toyota Fortuner - Leader Edition
This special edition is all about elevating the attitude of Fortuner by making its machismo level with a redesigned front end with new grille, bumper and Fortuner lettering on the bonnet. This same type of treatment is also available at rear with spoiler, lots of chrome and sliver skid plates. The PR says, its roof is also dual tone, and alloy wheel are painted in gloss black.
Interior of the Fortuner Leader Edition has black and maroon dual-tone seats and door trims, and rest everything is same as before, with same infotainment, TPMS for saftey, auto-fold IRVMs, and other features.
This edition comes only with a 2.8L diesel engine producing 201 bhp and 500 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed torque converter (AT). It is available exclusively with 4X2, limiting its off-road capabilities. Lastly, colour options include Attitude black, Super White, Pearl White, and Silver.
Price: Manual - Rs 34.79 Lakh, Automatic - Rs 36.92 Lakh (ex-showroom). With Pearl White paint, prices rise to Rs 34.93 Lakh and Rs 37.06 Lakh (ex-showroom) for the automatic.
Verdict
This SUV which already have such a commanding road-presence just became even more striking with this edition. With a host of new styling elements, including a new grille design with front and rear bumper spoilers and Chrome garnish, further elevates the 2025 Fortuner Leader Edition iconic stance. Those who want their Fortuner to stand-out from the rest, should go with it.
