The more adventure-focused lifestyle sister vehicle of the Fortuner, the Toyota Hilux is currently on offer with massive discounts. Earlier, the Toyota Hilux ex-showroom price was set at Rs. 33.99 lakhs in March 2022. A year later, it is now down to Rs. 30.40 lakhs. This a move by the company to get the sales number up. The ex-showroom price of the Hilux currently ranges between Rs. 30.40 to Rs 37.90 lakhs.

Most of the dealerships across the country are offering massive discounts upwards of Rs. 6 lakhs. This is an even more price drop after the Rs. 3 lakh drop officially by the company. When this discount made the entry-level model go cheaper, simultaneously, an Rs.1.0 lakh price hike was handed to the top-spec variants. As per some dealerships, a minimum of 6 lakh rupees discount is confirmed.
This even gets better. While some are offering this figure at this discount, select locations are offering up to Rs. 8 lakhs off as well on the higher variants. This makes it a very tempting proposition, considering the package that it offers.

Isuzu V-Cross Discounts Upto Rs.2.5 Lakhs
The rivaling lifestyle pick-up, the Isuzu V-Cross is offering discounts as well. However, only the top-end variant is available with offers. Isuzu V-Cross 4WD Manual starts at Rs 23.82 lakh and the top-end 4WD AT Prestige variant costs Rs 27.36 lakh. The Prestige variant can be availed with offers and benefits of up to Rs. 2.5 lakhs. Toyota Hilux Powertrain
The Hilux comes in a single 2.8L diesel mill that churns out 204 PS power with a peak torque of 420 Nm. It comes mated to both a 6-speed Manual as well as an Automatic gearbox. Furthermore, it comes with a 4WD Auto Limited Slip Differential as standard across variants. You will not find a petrol engine with this one.
VERDICT- Since its launch in March 2022, Hilux managed to get into 1300 homes already. Since it is a very niche product, the numbers are still decent.
