Even though the Indian market is inclining towards the SUV market, the sedans are available at a good discount. We gather all the sedans from every mass-market consumer and present to you the good old discount for April 2021 and suggest which one should you go for.
The successor to the Xcent, Aura rivals the popular Maruti Dzire, Honda Amaze and Ford Aspire. This sedan offers the most features along with several engine options which cater to the need of every buyer. The interior quality also appeals to the most and takes a modern approach.
Hyundai is offering a discount of Rs 50,000 on the Aura which is seen as Rs 30,000 as cash, Rs 15,000 as exchange and another Rs 5,000 as corporate. However, this offer is limited to the turbo petrol engine option only. This 1.0-litre unit delivers as much as 100 PS with 172 Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The other 1.2L petrol and diesel model gets a discount offer of Rs 25,000 which is seen as Rs 10,000 as cash, Rs 10,000 as exchange and another Rs 5,000 as a corporate. The CNG model which is equipped with 1.2L petrol gets Rs 15,000 discount.
Please note that the Vento is the least selling car which has not even managed to cross 200 units sales. Based on this, the company is providing a discount of Rs 35,000 which includes Rs 25,000 as exchange and another Rs 10,000 as loyalty.
This sedan has been in the market for over 10 years now and the executive sedan really needs refreshment. It has always been a driver's delight and the 1.0L pony petrol engine offers a lot. It generates as much as 110 PS of power with a peak torque of 175 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed manual along with an optional 6-speed torque converter unit.
The stretched up version of the Tiago, Tigor is available with Rs 33,000 worth of discount on any variants. It is equipped with a 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol engine only and generates 84 bhp with 113 Nm of peak torque. Its sibling, Tiago got a Global NCAP rating of 4-stars so it is safe to say that the Tigor is also equipped with the same strength.
One of the most underrated and popular compact sedans Amaze is equipped with 1.2L petrol and a more powerful 1.5L diesel unit. All three E, V and EX get Rs 32,000 as a discount offer while the S variant gets Rs 30,000 as a discount offer.
Honda Amaze is the only sedan in the segment which is offered with the premium CVT gearbox in both petrol and diesel engine. The 1.2L petrol makes as much as 89 bhp with 110 Nm of peak torque while the 1.5L, four-cylinder turbocharged diesel generates 9 bhp with 200 Nm of peak torque. Both the engine gets equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission and an optional CVT unit.
The best selling compact sedan, Dzire is available with the least discount of Rs 28,000 for LXi and VXi while the ZXi and ZXi+ are available with a discount of Rs 20,000 only. Under the hood, it gets a 1.2L DualJet petrol engine which generates 90 PS of power with a peak torque of 113 Nm. The Dzire is the only compact sedan that delivers the highest mileage of 23.26 kmpl for the manual and 24.12 kmpl for the AMT.
