MG Windsor EV Deliveries Begin
The MG Windsor EV boasts a sleek and modern design. Its connected LED DRLs and headlights, coupled with sporty 18-inch alloy wheels and flush-fitted door handles, create a stylish and eye-catching appearance. At the rear, connected LED tail lights further enhance its distinct road presence. Overall, it exudes a fresh design philosophy that can polarise opinions, as is the case with something new.
The MG Windsor is a well-equipped electric SUV that offers a comfortable and enjoyable driving experience. Key features include a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient lighting, and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. For convenience and safety, the Windsor is equipped with a 360-degree camera, airline-style reclining rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, rear AC vents, power-adjustable seats, MG's i-Smart connectivity platform, wireless charging, a spacious 604-liter trunk, and six airbags. MG Windsor EV: Battery And Range
The MG Windsor is equipped with a 38 kWh battery that delivers a powerful 136 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque. This battery enables the Windsor to achieve a maximum range of 331 kilometers on a full charge. To enhance the ownership experience, MG offers first-time buyers a lifetime battery warranty and a complimentary one-year charging facility at MG eHUB locations. Additionally, the Windsor features a special ownership program designed to provide added value to customers. While the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model is popular, customers also have the option of purchasing the vehicle outright.

Pricing
The MG Windsor is available in three variants: the entry-level Excite, priced at Rs 13.5 lakh, the Exclusive at Rs. 14.5 lakh and the Essence, priced at Rs 15.5 lakh. MG also offers a unique Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) plan that allows customers to separate the battery cost from the vehicle price. Under the BaaS scheme, customers can purchase the Excite variant for just Rs 9.99 lakh and pay an additional Rs 3.5 per kilometer for the battery. Customers can choose either the BaaS ownership model or the traditional outright purchase based on their preferences.
Verdict
The MG Windsor EV seems to have struck the right chords with buyers which is evident from its booking numbers. Mind you, even though you might say that 15,000 bookings in a day isnt much, it is the highest for any EV till date in the country. However, it remains to be seen if this upward trend continues as time passes and it gains further traction.
