New Fuel Efficient Engine

Maruti Suzuki changed the engine along with the facelift's introduction. The engine for the 2022 Brezza is a 1.5-liter K15C, NA petrol unit. A 6-speed automatic transmission and a 5-speed manual transmission are included with the engine. With a manual transmission, the new Brezza is said to have a fuel efficiency of 19.89 km/l and an automatic transmission, 19.80 km/l.

New Design

The brand-new Maruti Suzuki Brezza is a stylish little SUV. However, the new design language is a matter of taste, so not everyone will approve. The exterior has undergone changes including a new front grille, projector LED headlights with DRLs, a gunmetal finish on the external panels, and others. The feature set of the 2022 Brezza has increased and a plethora of additional functions are now available. It now has a new sunroof, an Arkamys audio system, a head-up display, a 360-degree camera, connected car technology, updated air-conditioning vents, and a 9-inch floating infotainment screen with support for Suzuki SmartPlay Studio.

Better Safety Features

Maruti has prioritised safety and added a number of new safety ffeatures. Six airbags, a 360-degree camera, ABS with EBD ESP, hill-hold assist, and ISOFIX are among the Brezza's safety features.

Cons

Lacks Performance

Maruti has always placed a priority on increasing fuel efficiency, and the new Brezza is no exception. The 1.5-liter petrol car doesn't give outright power and is better suited for relaxed driving to maximise efficiency.

No Other Engine Option

When compared to the Brezza's rivals, practically all of them provide options for diesel or turbocharged petrol engines. However, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza only offers one engine choice. For instance, whereas the Nexon has an additional diesel engine, the Venue & Sonet have turbocharged petrol and diesel engines.

Expensive Top End & Automatic Variant

The automatic variants of the Brezza comes with a price difference of almost Rs 1.50 lakh as compared to the manual transmission variants. Also, the top end variants are expensive when compared to rival who offers turbo petrol or diesel engine in same price range.

Misses On Some Features

Considering the cost of top models, the Brezza still lacks several features despite having a tonne of functions. The TPMS, automatic rain-sensing wipers, leather seats, drive modes, and a few other features are missing in the new Brezza.

Verdict

For those looking for a compact SUV that is efficient on gas and who prefer to cruise in a relaxed manner, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza is a good choice. Although it has several advanced technology, it lacks the fun-to-drive element.
