Hailed as one of the most popular SUVs in India, the Vitara Brezza will go through a generation change in 2022. The new model will feature a new body design, and a longer features list. A few weeks back, the pictures of the car surfaced online, thus giving us more details. 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Name and Exterior Design
As mentioned earlier, the new SUV will just be called the Maruti Suzuki Brezza. The name Vitara is likely to be reserved for a comparatively larger SUV that will compete against the likes of the Hyundai Creta.

The design of the car will see significant upgrades. The overall SUV silhouette remains, but the front and rear fascia has been heavily redesigned. Both the headlights and taillights are now sleeker, and sharper. The chrome grille remains, but the design changes. The rear fascia sees upgrades in the form of a redesigned tailgate. The number plates have been pushed down closer to the bumper and the letters Brezza sit above in between the new wrap-around taillights. However, since the new Brezza is based on the same platform as the current model, the body panels and doors remain the same as well.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Cabin and Features
The interior of the 2022 Brezza has also been stepped up. The cabin will be thoroughly redesigned with materials of high-quality plastic. The dashboard will feature a new floating infotainment screen. The steering wheel unit remains the same, and so will the analog instrument cluster. As far as its features are concerned, the list will see upgrades like wireless chargers, paddle shifters, sim-based connectivity suite, which will include, geofencing, intrusion detection, finding your car, and real-time tracking, etc.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Engine and Specs
The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza will be powered by the same 1.5-liter engine, but with Dual Jet technology. With two injectors per cylinder, the upcoming Brezza will have treated control over fuel injection, and efficiency. Transmission duties meanwhile will be handled by a new 6-speed automatic gearbox. The same engine will also be used in the upcoming Ciaz, XL6, and S-Cross in the future.
2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza: Price and Competition
The current-generation Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza starts from Rs. 7,61,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi), and it is available in petrol variants only. Given the updates thatll come with the 2022 Brezza, there will be a price bump and the SUV will range between Rs. 8.00 lakh to Rs. 12.5 lakh. As far as its competition is concerned, it will go against the likes of Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue.
