The Minister of Road Transport and Highways recently announced that starting October 1, 2022, cars would be required to have six airbags. Many brands have already begun to include six airbags in their products, although the majority of them cost more than Rs 10 lakh. On the other hand, some manufacturers has started giving 4 or more airbags in sub-10 lakh offerings. Here's a list of cars with 4 or more airbags under Rs 10 lakh in India.

Kia Sonet - Rs 7.15 lakh

In India, Kia has upgraded its Sonet portfolio with new features beginning with the base model. The latest improvement, which is standard across the line, includes four airbags and a tyre pressure monitoring system. A 1.2-litre petrol engine, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine are available for the Sonet. The top-of-the-line models still come with six airbags and front parking sensors as standard equipment.

Renault Kiger RXT - Rs 7.27 lakh

Last year, Renault released the Kiger in India, and the car received a positive response from Indian car customers. The Kiger has a lot of features, a good price, and a muscular design. The compact SUV has been beneficial to the company in terms of sales. The RXT variant of the car comes with four airbags, as well as other safety features like ISOFIX mounts, a rear parking camera, and sensors. In addition, Kiger received a 4-star rating in the global NCAP test.

Maruti Baleno Zeta - Rs 8.09 lakh

Hyundai i20 is one of the most feature packed premium hatchback available in India. Hyundai offers six airbags in top of the line Asta (O) variant of the i20. A tyre pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, hill assist control, a rear view camera, automated headlights, and ISOFIX seat mounts are also included in the Asta (O) model.

Kia Carens - Rs 9.59 lakh

The Kia Carens offers a lot of features, and certain safety features starting from the base model. The Kia Carens comes standard with six airbags across the line up.
