Kia EV6 Launch On June 2, Bookings Open At Rs 3 Lakh But Deliveries In September - Details

Kia has commenced the bookings of their upcoming EV6 at Rs 3 lakh and the electric crossover will be launched on June 2, 2022. The EV6 will be limited to just 100 units and will be brought to Indian shores via the CBU route. We expect the price to be north of Rs 50 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Powering the Kia EV6 is a 77.4 kWh battery pack that is available with RWD and AWD setup. The South Korean carmaker will be bringing in the top of the line GT version and the certified driving range of the electric crossover is rated at 528 km. In the real world, we expect a decent 350-400 km run from the EV6.

What's interesting is that the AWD version of the EV6 belts out as much as 323 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 605 Nm. The acceleration is observed from the tap and a 0-100 kmph sprint can be well achieved in just 3.5 seconds. This battery pack can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes with the 350kW DC fast charger.

Feature-wise, the EV6 gets a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, connected car tech with over 60 features and among others.

The EV6 scores big on safety too as it achieved 5 stars at the ANCAP crash rating. Furthermore, it gets as many as eight airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, all-wheel disc brakes, a 360-degree camera and more. The EV6 also gets ADAS which also comprises a long list of features in itself.

The deliveries of the Kia EV6 will commence in September and it will be made available in five colour options for now -
