Mahindra Bolero Bold Edition Details

The Bolero and the Bolero Neo Bold Edition retain the core design of their standard versions, but there are cosmetic and interior tweaks for differentiation. Both cars receive dark chrome elements on the grille, fog lamp surrounds, rear air vents (not on the Bolero Neo), spare wheel cover, and Bold Edition badging on the tailgate and the rear side fenders.

Inside, both cars retain their familiar dashboards, especially the original Bolero which has been long overdue for an update. However, the dashboard receives black treatment, while the seats receive black upholstery, the steering wheel gets leatherette-black wrap treatment, and other add-ons include neck pillows and seat belt covers.

Both cars remain unchanged mechanically; the Bolero retains the 1.5-litre diesel engine, producing 74.9bhp and 210Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual transmission. There is no automatic on offer. Meanwhile the Bolero Neo also comes with a 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine, producing 98.5bhp and 260Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.

Verdict
Mahindra has plans for the Bolero's future, and according to reports, there will be a next-generation model on a monocoque platform. The Bold Edition models are not the biggest updates, but that probably will not matter, considering these two cars feature among India's top-sellers on a regular basis.
