Exterior Styling

Maruti e Vitara

The Maruti e Vitara stands out with its modern design language, which includes three-point matrix LED DRLs integrated within the headlamps, a piano black central element, and bold C-pillars that enhance its SUV stance. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels and features a distinctive LED taillight cluster at the rear. The Nexa branding, neatly integrated into the rear windshield, reinforces its premium placement within the Maruti Suzuki lineup. In terms of looks, it really hits the homerun with sharp looks and butch stance that defines an SUV-ish look.

Step inside, and the cabin reveals a plush dual-tone interior theme in Brown and Black, paired with leatherette upholstery and a fixed panoramic glass roof. A two-spoke steering wheel complements the modern layout, while the dashboard houses a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster. The e Vitara promises a rich feature list, including ventilated front seats, a 10-way power-adjustable driver's seat, and reclining rear seats for added rear comfort. Safety and convenience are well addressed with Level-2 ADAS, 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, and a keyless entry system. A ride-by-wire system further adds to the tech quotient.

Battery Variants, Performance & Range

The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara will be offered with two battery pack options. The base version gets a 49 kWh battery paired with a single motor setup producing 142 bhp and 192.5 Nm of torque, delivering a claimed WLTP range of 346 km. The higher-spec model uses a 61 kWh battery, also with a single motor, making 172 bhp and 192.5 Nm, and offers an extended range of 428 km. For those seeking all-wheel-drive performance, the dual-motor AWD variant also uses the 61 kWh pack but churns out a combined 178 bhp and 300 Nm of torque, with a slightly lower range of 412 km due to the added drivetrain. Verdict

With the launch of the e Vitara, Maruti Suzuki is signaling a serious step into India's EV market. It blends familiarity in design with competitive features and practical range offerings. While final pricing is yet to be revealed, the e Vitara's extensive feature list and multiple variants indicate it will cater to a broad spectrum of buyers. If Maruti can back it with a strong service and charging ecosystem, the e Vitara could emerge as a significant player in the mainstream electric SUV segment, which with its legacy brand name, works pretty well in its favour.
