Maruti Invicto Official Deliveries Begin: Price Starts At Rs. 24.79 Lakhs

KEY HIGHLIGHTS

  • Maruti Invicto official deliveries begin
  • Comes with a single 2.0L strong hybrid petrol engine
  • Differs in features when compared to its Toyota sibling

Several weeks ago, Maruti Suzuki unveiled its flagship MPV, the Maruti Invicto, in India, with a starting price of Rs. 24.79 lakhs (ex-showroom). Recently, the manufacturer has begun delivering the initial batch of this MPV to customers. The customers have the option to choose between two variants: Zeta Plus and Alpha Plus. Additionally, buyers have the freedom to select from a range of four exterior paint shades.

Let's look at some more details about this Hycross sister.

Maruti Invicto Official Deliveries Begin

The rebadged Toyota Innova Hycross is available in a strong hybrid variant only. The normal petrol unit does not make its way onto the Maruti Invicto. A move to keep it as a premium offering and also to discourage taxi usage as well. However, this is the first time that a rebadged unit under the Toyota- Maruti partnership differs in the features on offer.

It skips out on ADAS, ottoman second-row seats, and the JBL premium sound system to name a few. But simultaneously, it also becomes the first Maruti to offer a powered tailgate. Along with this, it now sits at the top of the price chart with both the Arena and Nexa portfolios combined. If you wish to go for a diesel engine, you will have to opt for the Innova Crysta, which is still limited to Toyota dealerships.

Engine Details: What Powers This Family Mover

The Invicto MPV and its Toyota counterpart, the Hycross, share the same powertrain configuration. Both vehicles are powered by a 2.0-liter Atkinson engine, which produces 152.2 PS power and 188 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an e-CVT (electronic continuously variable transmission) that drives the front wheels. Maruti Suzuki claims that the Invicto achieves an impressive fuel efficiency of 23.24 kilometers per liter, making it a practical and eco-friendly choice for buyers

Maruti Invicto Feature Highlights

The Invicto MPV comes with a host of impressive features. It includes a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless mobile connectivity, a 7-inch colored digital driver's display, a panoramic sunroof, and ambient lighting.

It also comes with a 360-degree camera with front parking sensors, ventilated front seats, an eight-way power-adjustable driver seat with a memory function, a powered tailgate, and in-built Suzuki Connect Technology. Even after it misses out on some Hycross features, it packs more than enough punch.

Price

VariantsEx-showroom price
Zeta Plus 7-seaterRs. 24.79 lakh
Zeta Plus 8-seaterRs. 24.84 lakh
Alpha Plus 7-seaterRs. 28.42 lakh

The ex-showroom price starts at Rs. 24.79 lakhs and goes up to Rs. 28.42 lakhs.

Verdict

Since the Maruti Invito is now reaching customers, it will attract some of the Hycross buyers as well due to its wide network of service centres. However, there are some omissions as well when compared to the Toyota counterpart. Conclusively, the Invicto promises a pretty solid package and takes the Maruti portfolio to a new high, both in price as well as the tech quotient.
