Maruti Suzuki's Complete Fleet Now Meets With BS6 Phase 2 Norms

• Maruti Suzuki announces the upgrade of its fleet to meet BS 6 Phase II norms
• All Maruti vehicles are now RDE compliant and supports E20 fuel blend
• New BS6 Phase II compliant vehicle also gets added safety features

Maruti Suzuki declares that every model in its lineup complies with the most recent Bharat Stage 6 Phase II emissions standards. All Maruti Suzuki hatchbacks, sedans, MPVs, SUVs, and commercial vehicles are now E20 fuel compatible and in compliance with the new BS6 Phase-II Real Driving Emissions (RDE) norms.

Maruti Suzuki BS6 Phase 2 Update

The upgraded On-board Diagnostics (OBD) system in the new RDE compliant Maruti Suzuki vehicles monitors the vehicle's pollution control systems in real-time and alerts drivers in the event of any problem. Along with the new BS6 Phase 2 update, the brand has also added new safety features to its vehicle lineup. The brand has added Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as standard in variety of vehicles including hatchbacks, sedans, MPVs, and SUVs. The ESC significantly improved the safety of the new Maruti Suzuki BS6 Phase II compliant vehicles.

Commenting on the rollout of the updated Maruti Suzuki range, Mr. C V Raman, Chief Technical Officer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said, At Maruti Suzuki, we are always finding new and innovative ways to reduce emissions from our vehicles. Be it with the Advanced Dual Jet, Dual VVT technology, Progressive Smart Hybrid or Intelligent Electric Hybrid system. The Government of Indias drive to incorporate the new BS6 Phase II norms will go a long way in controlling emissions from vehicles over their entire lifespan.

The Maruti Suzuki Arena & Nexa sale network currently sells 15 cars. The Maruti Suzuki Arena sells eight different models, including the Alto K10, S-Presso, Eeco, Celerio, WagonR, Swift, Dzire, Ertiga, and Brezza. Meanwhile, 6 of the models are sold through the NEXA platform, including the Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, XL6, Grand Vitara, and the recently introduced Fronx.
