The SUV was launched at an ex-showroom price of Rs 12.18 lakh last year on this very day and the top model was priced at Rs 16.88 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Due to its huge size and what it had to offer, it created quite a spark on our shores. The prices and its popularity was so great that MG had to temporarily close the bookings at the 28,000 mark. Fast forward to one year that is June 2020, the prices have risen (due to BS6) and now the MG Hector starts from Rs 12.71 lakh till Rs 17.72 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Size
The Hector is big. Quite big you see. It measures 4,655 mm in length, 1,835 mm in width and is 1,760 in height. The wheelbase of this SUV sticks at 2,750 mm which means you can easily fir in three adults and still enjoy that long drive without a fuss.
Internet connectivity and a massive Panoramic Sunroof
It was with the MG Hector that this massive panoramic sunroof came in. At a time when carmakers were bringing in electric, a panoramic really made a difference and that too under Rs 17 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.

The table below depicts the total number of units sold monthly from July 2019 to December 2019 for the MG Hector. The mid-size SUV saw its number increased for the first three months and then slowly it declined because of the competition. Kia launched the Seltos at a very edgy price and the sales went for a toss.

Upcoming MG Hector Plus
Well, the Plus depicts that the SUV will now grow 40 mm in length as to accommodate third-row bench. Yes, unlike the Hector which was a 5-seater, the Hector Plus will be a 6-seater SUV. The launch is around next week and it will be a great competition for the mighty Toyota Innova Crysta.
