After receiving the 6-airbag update, the car has become costlier by up to 1.4%, which is quite normal when a car undergoes a major change like this. However, there are a few changes that prospective buyers may not appreciate, and they are on the inside. To begin with, the front-row air-cooled cupholders are now gone. These used to cool the bottom section of bottles, and this feature was widely appreciated in the Ertiga.

Secondly, the roof-mounted AC vents, which previously featured four vents, have been omitted. The second row now receives the same treatment as most other cars, with AC vents placed in the center area, and below them, Maruti has added two Type-C charging ports. Talking about the third row, here Indias largest automaker has made a significant cost-cutting move. For cooling, theyve added two circular AC vents, but only on the right side. These come with an airflow toggle switch. On the left side, there's a specially carved space for resting your arms, and below it, two Type-C sockets have been installed.

To add more, the driver now has full control over the last row's cooling. On the right panel switches, next to the steering wheel, there is a dedicated switch to turn the cooling for the second row on or off. Also, next to it, there's a traction control on/off switch, which is included as a new safety feature. Moving back to the second row, the new Ertiga now features headrests for the middle passengers, along with a dedicated seatbelt. However, the armrest, which was previously available, is no longer there after this update.

In a nutshell, these are the new updates:
- Removal of the front air cooled cupholders
- Third row seat belt and heardrest
- Omission of the armrest
- 4 USB type C socket
- air-flow toggle switch
- New vents
- Traction control
- 6 Airbags as standard

Verdict
This car is the unprecedented king of the Indian automotive sector, as it continues to sell over 10,000 units every month, even when the entire industry is facing a downturn. That's because it's the number one choice for taxi drivers, hotels, government officials, and even large families. Additionally, with the CNG option, delivering 25+ km/l even with seven people inside is a combination that's hard to beat. Clearly, this is one of the most reliable cars out there, and now its safety features have been upgraded.
