Tata Aeris Interior Teased Ahead Of Launch

Tata Motors has released the second teaser of the Aeris, the renamed and updated version of the Tigor sedan. After the first teaser revealed a glimpse of the exterior, this one gives us our first proper look at the interior. With the launch scheduled for tomorrow, the teaser confirms that the Aeris borrows heavily from the new-generation Tiago in terms of both cabin design and features.

Interior

The Aeris cabin comes loaded with a 360-degree camera, a wireless charging pad, and a redesigned steering wheel featuring a matte-finished centre panel with an integrated Tata logo. A rotary drive selector stands out as a key highlight for the sedan, while the AMT variant gets paddle shifters for a more engaging driving experience.

Control Panel

Departing from Tata's recent trend of touch-based controls for climate and infotainment functions, the Aeris switches back to physical buttons. It also gets a Tiago-style floating touchscreen, expected to measure 10.25 inches, paired with a fully digital instrument cluster.

Upholstery

Inside, the Aeris sports a beige-themed cabin that extends across the dashboard, doors, and seats. Both the dashboard layout and seat fabric closely mirror what's already seen in the Tiago.

Exterior Design

From the front and sides, the Aeris takes clear styling cues from the Tigor, though the rear gets a distinct treatment while still holding onto Tata's design language. The front features a sleeker profile with slim LED headlights and DRLs, and unlike the Tigor, the Aeris also gains fog lamps. At the rear, its taillamps appear to be a wider adaptation of the units seen on the Curvv.

Powertrain

Expect the Aeris to carry over the Tigor's engine options: a 1.2-litre petrol and a petrol-CNG variant, both paired with 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT transmissions. The petrol engine produces 86 PS and 113 Nm of torque, while the CNG variant makes 76 PS and 97 Nm.

Price

Pricing for the Aeris is expected to sit slightly above the current Tigor range, which starts at Rs. 5.55 lakh and goes up to Rs. 8.84 lakh (ex-showroom). Official prices will be confirmed at tomorrow's launch.
