Tata Motors Presents Nexon EV Charging Stories To Raise Awareness

Indias leading electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, Tata Motors has raised public awareness regarding the growing EV charging footprint in India. With respect to this, Tata Motors has launched a campaign- Nexon EV Charging Stories which features a series of short clips presenting real-world situations that demonstrates the ease of using a public and a home charging point.

The main focus of the company with the #NexonEVChargingStories campaign is to bring awareness of EVs and convey the experience of owning an EV that is hassle-free. The EV maker is proud to present the fact that electric vehicles can cover better distances than normal cars without any issues. The company would like to remove the stereotypes stuck with EVs and would like to convey its ability to cover longer distances and remote locations.

A little about Tata Nexon EV:

The Nexon EV has been doing exceptionally well when it comes to performance. Our test drive reviews are proof of it. You can find it here. When it comes to performance, the car majestically touches the 0-100km/h speed under 10 seconds. Unfortunately, the top speed has been electronically limited to 120 km/h. Whatsoever, it is an impressive figure after all. The video of the top speed run has been provided below:

Further, the batteries have enough power to give a real-world driving range of 250-300km. One interesting feature that we noticed is the lack of a gear lever. Instead, it comes with a rotary knob that has four settings- R, N, D and S. This I believe adds to the character of the vehicle even though some wish for a gear-stick.

It comes packed with features at a price of 9 13.99 Lakh - for the XM Variant (ex-showroom) and 9 16.40 Lakh- for the XZ+LUX variant (ex-showroom)

Lets Get back to the Campaign:

Commenting on the launch of this campaign- the #NexonEVChargingStories, Mr. Ramesh Dorairajan, Head Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, Electric Vehicle Business Unit, Tata Motors, said, India has seen a significant rise in the momentum towards EVs in the past one year and we at Tata Motors are proud to be one of the frontrunners in driving the EV adoption here. We are not only offering aspirational and accessible electric vehicles but are also creating a holistic e-Mobility ecosystem that addresses barriers to EV adoption. We are delighted to release these interesting short stories of Nexon EV owners to bust myths, create awareness about our charging station and the hassle-free ownership experience. With a rapidly increasing charging network and, we are confident that our EV customers would like to spend more and more time on the go now.

Tata motors have been keenly trying to provide changing solutions at home, workplace and also public charging points since it is the key element for faster customer response and adoption of EV. According to Tata Motors, the lack of awareness of charging infrastructures has resulted in the stereotypes associated with buying EVs. The company has already installed fast-charging stations in key Metros such as - Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, thus enabling the e-mobility drive in the city. Chargers have also been installed on key intercity Highways, at Tata Motors dealerships, a few Tata Group retail outlets and other public locations.

Over 456 charging points have been installed in 92 cities, situated on several prominent intercity routes across India. In addition, free home-charging solutions are offered with every Nexon EV sold.
