Toyota has announced a recall for its Land Cruiser LC300 luxury SUV in India. This recall is to update the software in the 10-speed automatic transmission's electronic control unit (ECU). Toyota has announced a recall for 269 Land Cruiser LC300 vehicles made between February 12, 2021, and February 1, 2023. The issue concerns the ECU of the 10-speed automatic transmission, which needs reprogramming.

However, Toyota reassures owners that there haven't been any problems related to this part. Owners can continue using their luxury SUVs until the software update is completed.

Toyota India will reach out to customers to schedule necessary updates for their vehicles, and there won't be any additional charges.

To check if your vehicle is affected, contact your nearest dealer or Toyota's customer assistance center at 1800-309 0001, or enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on Toyota India's website under the 'Safety Recall' section.

The Cruiser LC300, priced at Rs 2.1 crore (ex-showroom), offers a single variant with a 3.3-litre V6 diesel engine producing 305bhp and 700Nm of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox.

It's available in five exterior colours: Precious White Pearl, Attitude Black, Dark Red Mica Metallic, Super White, and Dark Blue Mica, along with three interior options: Black, Black/Dark Red, and N. Beige.
