The upcoming KIA Seltos facelift has been spied testing on the roads yet again. Revealing the new details in the latest spy shots, the facelifted model will get redesigned sharp LED taillights with new stop brake light design as well.

KIA has been testing the new model of the Seltos mid-size SUV for a long time and the updated model is anticipated to feature a host of technological upgrades and new design elements as compared to the current model. The previous test mules which have been spotted have already given the idea that KIA is testing the ADAS (Automated Driver Assist System) for the new Seltos. The latest spy photos reveal that the new car will feature new LED taillights, new LED headlights in the typical split setup as KIA has followed on the Sportage and Seltos, 16-inch alloy wheels were also seen over test mule while the previous test cars were seen running on 17-inch wheels indicating that the smaller alloy wheels will make it to the mid-variant specs, a panoramic sunroof, new dashboard design, and even a new infotainment system is under development. One can also expect newer colours in addition to these latest tech upgrades.

The upcoming KIA Seltos seems to reach its final stages of testing and the production-ready alloy wheels and interior spy pics divulge the above-said fact. On the technical specifications, the new KIA Seltos in India is expected to continue using similar powertrain and gearbox options. This means that the 1.4-Lt turbo-petrol, 1.5-Lt turbo-diesel, and the 1.5-Lt NA petrol engine will be used under the hood. Gearbox options shall remain the same as well i.e. a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT automatic, 6-speed IVT torque converter, and the 7-speed DCT automatic transmissions will be used similarly as of now.

The expected launch date is still not very clear as the prime rivals of Seltos i.e. 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift is also under development and is nearing its launch. KIA is somehow holding the launch of the new Seltos and seems to be waiting for the new Creta launch so that they can price the Seltos aggressively. Consider the mid-2022 for both of the new cars to make their entry into the Indian automotive market. Prices will be premium to the current car because of the addition of newer technology and creature comfort features.
