On the official website, it is mentioned that the VF MPV 7 is equipped with a 60.13 kWh battery, enabling a driving range of over 500 km on a full charge. Its advanced fast-charging technology allows the battery to charge from 10% to 70% in approximately 30 minutes, enhancing real-world convenience. For daily use, inter-state runs, and even weekend trips, this car - at least on paper - sounds like an ideal electric vehicle for families. In comparison to its main rival, the Kia Carens Clavis EV, it offers over 10 km more claimed range, as Kia states a range of 490 km from a 51.4 kWh battery pack.

There is another competitor, the BYD eMax 7, which comes with two battery pack options - 55.4 kWh and 71.8 kWh. The smaller pack offers a claimed NEDC range of 420 km, while the larger one delivers up to 530 km. Additionally, being a BYD product makes it a more preferred choice among customers and fleet operators, as the brand has a strong reputation for building reliable electric cars that perform consistently even in challenging conditions.

Comparing both cars with the upcoming VF MPV 7, it appears to hit the sweet spot by offering a strong claimed range suitable for both daily driving and weekend trips. However, a clearer picture will emerge only after its launch, once it is tested in real-world Indian conditions.
Price Game
The VF MPV 7 is expected to be priced around Rs 20 lakh, considering its 60.13 kWh battery pack. It will likely be more expensive than the Carens Clavis EV but significantly more affordable than the BYD eMax 7, which starts at Rs 26.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Hence, the game is not just about pricing, but also about effective marketing - giving buyers strong reasons to choose it over the eMax 7 and Carens EV. It will be interesting to see how VinFast positions it.

Verdict
On paper, the VF MPV 7 positions itself as a well-rounded electric family mover with a competitive range and fast-charging capability, placing it right between its key rivals. It promises the practicality needed for daily commutes as well as longer journeys. However, its real success will depend on pricing, charging infrastructure, and real-world performance once tested in Indian conditions.
