Morris Garages India has just launched the new 2020 MG Hector Plus in the country. The new Hector Plus was first showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo. Earlier, it was scheduled to be launched in April this year. However, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the launch was delayed. The Hector Plus is a premium six-seater version of the regular five-seater MG Hector. The company has now finally launched this new SUV in the country with prices starting at Rs. 13.48 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. The new Hector Plus has been launched in multiple variants. So, here we have for you a detailed article where we have explained the variants of the 2020 MG Hector Plus.

The new 2020 MG Hector Plus is available in three different powertrain options: Petrol, Petrol-Hybrid and Diesel. The Hector Plus is proferred in four variants: Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. First of all, before we begin with the explanation of the variants, let me give you a general overview of the SUV. So, the MG Hector Plus is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that belts out 143 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. This non-hybrid petrol engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT.
The Hector Plus also gets the same 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. Both the non-hybrid petrol as well as the hybrid petrol variants are offered simultaneously so that one can choose between them as per their preference. While the non-hybrid petrol comes mated to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed DCT, the hybrid version is paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox only. It also gets a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre diesel engine that develops 170 PS of power and 350 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox only.

The Diesel engine of the Hector Plus is offered with all four variants. However, the non-hybrid Petrol manual is offered in Style trim while the DCT is offered in Sharp and Smart trims. The petrol-hybrid version of the Hector Plus is offered in a single Sharp variant that gets a manual gearbox. The new Hector Plus measures 4695 mm in length, 1760 mm in width and 1835 mm in height. It sits on a 2750 mm long wheelbase and the ground clearance stands at 192 mm. Moreover, it runs on 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Enough of fuss, now let's have a look at the variants.

Style Trim
The Style trim is the most basic variant of the new Hector Plus. The Petrol MT Style is priced at Rs. 13.48 lakhs while the Diesel MT Style is priced at Rs. 14.43 lakhs. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. Here are the features that it offers:

The bookings for the Hector Plus are already open and it can be booked by paying a token amount of Rs. 50,000. It has been priced between Rs. 13.48 lakhs - Rs. 18.53 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi. However, these are introductory prices valid till August 13, 2020, post which the prices will be hiked by up to 50,000 rupees depending on the variant.
