2024 Maruti Swift: Design, Features, Safety
As seen in the leaked photos, the new Swift now gets a curvy design. The refreshed front has a new bonnet, a new bumper, a new grille, and a new set of LED headlights. We suppose that the spied-on car is a top-spec model; hence, it gets LED foglights. The side profile looks a bit extended and bigger than the outgoing model.
The vertical door handles at the rear have now moved to the conventional positioning. Also, it gets a new set of 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Look closely and the rear design has also been refreshed with a new curvy boot lid, stretched-out LED taillights, and a new bumper.
On the interiors, the dashboard is new with a refreshed center console and a bigger infotainment screen. This screen has been carried from the Maruti Brezza and it'll support the connected features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Additionally, the instrument cluster is a semi-digital unit carried from Fronx. The steering wheel, meanwhile, looks slightly refreshed with new piano black highlights. Important thing to note, the Swift model spotted doesn't get an auto-dimming IRVM.
A few leaked online reports hint that the new Swift will become safer. It'll get 6 airbags as standard and the build quality is also expected to get better.

2024 Maruti Swift: Engine, Gearbox, Fuel Economy
The biggest update with the new-gen model will be its new 1.2-lt Z-series engine. This 3-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol motor will replace the current K series engine. This engine will be less on power and more on fuel economy. As per a leaked online document, it'll deliver a staggering 25.72 kmpl of ARAI-claimed fuel economy. This is 3 kmpl more than the outgoing model.
Maruti will debut the new Swift with the options of a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. There are no plans to introduce a CNG version at the launch. However, going forward we are sure that the CNG models will also be launched.

Price, Launch, Rivals
The expected launch price of Swift is between Rs 6-10 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon its debut on May 9, it'll rival the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS and Tata Tiago.
