The Hyundai i20 has carried on in its third-generation guise for quite some time now, having last received a facelift in 2023. In order to make it more appealing to customers, Hyundai has now decided to bring in a new variant, while also adding some more features to its existing variants.

2025 Hyundai i20 Variant Rejig; Highlights

The first highlight is the Magna variant, which now comes with the CVT transmission option as well, in addition to the manual that was already on offer. In terms of features, it now comes with an electric sunroof, rear A/C vents, six airbags, LED DRLs, and a front storage centre console with an armrest. This variant can be had from Rs 8.88 lakh (ex-showroom).

There is also a new Magna Executive variant, which slots in just above the base Era variant, and it is priced at Rs 7.50 lakh (ex-showroom). This variant comes with six airbags, a digital instrument cluster with an MID, a tyre pressure monitoring system, hill-start assist, vehicle stability management, electronic stability control, six airbags, and 15-inch wheels with steel rims.
The Sportz (O) variant also gains some features as well, and these include a smaart key fob, a push-button starter, a 7-speaker Bose sound system, an electric sunroof, automatic climate control, and Z-shaped LED tail lights.

Lastly, the Korean car maker has is also offering a 10-inch infotainment touch screen with wireless connectivity as an accessory for Rs 14,999. With the variant re-jig, the prices of the i20 have also changed, and they are listed in the table below.

The i20 remains identical in terms of mechanicals; it retains the 1.2-litre, nat-asp petrol engine, paired to either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT. The engine produces 81.8bhp with the manual gearbox, and 86.7bhp with the CVT. The torque remains the same between both versions at 114.7Nm.

Verdict
Hyundai has re-jigged the variants of the i20, which could possibly be a reaction to the new Altroz. Given that it has been around for quite some time, the Korean car maker might be giving it a few more refreshes before an eventual generation change that could come sometime next year.
